Today’s international safety realities highlight the need for security agencies to establish both interoperable communications and mutual aid plans.

To remedy the inability to communicate among disciplines in real time, Global Protection Shield, with the Global Security Card, have worked cooperatively to develop an interoperable solution. This solution establishes dedicated communication channels between local point of contacts and the GSC call center which are accessible by our clients and used in case of any distress.

Global Protection Shield was founded in 1997 as special personal protection group for extreme high-risk operations and certified according to the strict German "guidelines for protection of persons" by the State of Bavaria.

In 1978 after graduating law school in Brazil, Rorion Gracie moved to the US with the objective of sharing his family's system of self-defense. For 10 years he taught classes out of his garage, and faced countless challenges from a variety of martial arts representatives without ever being defeated.

Then in 1993 he shocked the world when he developed the concept, and brought to life a no-holds-barred, no time limit, no weight class, bare knuckle event: The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He enlisted his younger brother Royce Gracie to represent Gracie Jiu-jitsu, and the outcome would forever change real combat as we knew it, giving birth to the fastest growing sport in the world!Immediately after the first UFC, the US Army contacted Rorion and requested he develop a whole new hand-to-hand combat program for the troops. Today, the course has been officially adopted by every branch of the military, as well as by every major law enforcement agency in the US.
